I'm with ya cosy... I'm ready to have my own place instead of a simple apartment. Hopefully next summer after I get married I will have a place with my wife. So ya. Here is to hoping.
Almost enough for a dog house? Lucky... I don't even have enough land to putty a kitty litter box on.

yeah...well we have been saving up for sometime now (got zonked in the last big stock crash in 01...)...and we hope to be able to do something soon---tired of my nieghbors smoking --which somehow gets into my bedroom and make me cough!...tired of the late night parties...fed up with the assssssociation...and totally had it with the village (dumb heat detector inspection each year)...and would really like to have more than 900sq ft of room! (a basement would be nice tooo)...not to mention a 2nd bedroom so when he snores I have a place to nap instead of the loveseat (we pretend its a couch)...
bleh...gonna be another hot week...

Ugh smokers, I hate them as well. My next door neighbor is a smoker. And they like to blow smoke towards my open windows. Awesome. Not so much...
Ya, it is gonna be hot. Have my windows open right now cause it isn't hot enough for the A/C but it isn't really cool enough to be comfy...

Well when you get 15 min smoke breaks while your non-smoking co-workers don't, doesn't that mean you do have more rights? Me thinks so.
Sleeping? Oh ya... I go to bed about 10:30-11ish on weekdays and get up at 6:30 to go run. That would be my sleep schedule.

yeah...opened my balcony door this morning and got a good lung full of....
cigarette smoke ....bleh! its a dirty filthy habit that should be outlawed and the plantations made to grow a USEful crop! (hey then we can feed all those starving kids in ...where ever, right?)
funny thing happened today---had to pick up a few things at the grocery store...was in the aisle with the garbage bags (hubby forgot to tell me we had only ONE left!)...was checking prices and making sure I got the right ones for our can.....and this store lady comes up and asks me if I need help! oh yeah, I need help picking out the right trashbags, really!--- ok
(not to mention the cart with the permanent left turn )

I wish my landlord was against smoking but sadly it is only smoking indoors. Smoking outdoors is ok... Really wish that it would be outlawed as well. Or at least make it less favorable to be a smoker. Such as STOP GIVING THEM 15 MINUTE SMOKE BREAKS! It is a bad habit, the government has moved to try to get people to stop smoking. So why do we still cater to their cravings? How is that fair to us that choose not to damage our bodies? Ya, it's not.
I never get asked if I need help. Probably cause I always look like I know what I need to get. Learned that one from my dad. Walk with a purpose, less people will bother you that way.

I was .....I was looking at the garbage bags...checking prices and amounts when she asked....was very strange, yah, I usually dont get asked if I need help either.
I remember when I lived in idaho and the day there was a big fire at the statehouse--caused by SMOKING!! yes someone tossed their butts into the trash and started a big ole fire, cost the TAX PAYERS millions to fix too .....after that smoking was outlawed in public buildings...this spread across the country, now there is no smoking in public places, hospitals have banned it on their property (that includes the parking lots--but not IN the cars sadly)....in japan they banned it on school lands (though I did catch a few teachers outback smoking 'just checking the ...er,...bush ...' yeah right, and that smoke I see coming up from behind your back? is you butt on fire????) at least over there they understood its bad for you (most women dont smoke there since they are the ones taking care of the kids--though this is changing too ).....
When I worked and all the peeps left on their smoke breaks--I would go as well---no reason not to get some not so fresh air (though in the winters I had some different ideas).....so if they get extra breaks, why not take one with them???? (you dont smoke, so what...they are on break, then so am I).

Ya I kinda figured that much out lol. My fiancee used to ALWAYS get help when she went out to a store, especially on Black Friday. Obviously that doesn't have to do with age, but rather that she is good looking and thus, guys will want to come "help". Gonna be harder this year now that she has a ring.
I really think they need to up tobacco prices even more and tax the hell out of it. Do the same thing with marijuana. I bet that if we made marijuana legal and then taxed the hell out of it, a lot of people would stop doing it. Why? Cause it isn't illegal anymore, the thrill is gone. Same reason a lot of my friends stopped drinking once they turned 21. The thrill was gone because it was no longer illegal.

age!??? are you saying I am OLD??? (I dont look old really I dont). I think it has more to do with gender than age.
well.....had a car part (abs) on order (hubby insisted it get fixed)...figured it should be in today so on monday I had called and they said yeah, it should be here by thursday....drove out to the mechanics....STILL not in yet! ...so I took a nice drive in rush hour traffic for no good reason today.....they say it SHOULD be in later today (I aint going there in the pm...last time I was there 8 hours!)..so tomorrow will try again
if you make marijuana legal it will cause more problems, and taxing the bunk out of tobacco will just make the black market more lucrative.....make them ALL illegal

He isn't saying you are old cosy, just simply saying that you have more years on me. Yup. (I tried RR)
Bummer on that Cosy. I thought I was gonna have to get my timing belt replaced. Turns out that I have to do it every 60k miles. It was last changed when the odometer said 68k, and I'm only at 101k. Which means I get to wait until next year to do it. Less money I have to spend that way.
Illegal really won't do anything I don't think. Remember when the government tried prohibition? Ya, that didn't go well. If people are going to smoke it, at least make it so that the government gets part of it. Should help fund some more wars or something.

Glad the car finally got all squared away cosy! And ya, some people have 0 respect for other people. I read a facebook post about a friend of mine who was at a store buying some things. The guy behind her stood so close to her with his loud obnoxious child that the cashier almost started ringing up the guys stuff with her order. And we wonder why we see such unruly children these days... Lets look at the parents.

Dont be too open about being a realist, it gets you in trouble with people that love their sugarcoats.

yeah the peeps at the car place were talking about how their kids all lie....and wonder where they learned it ...FROM THE PARENTS!!! from an early age we like to lie to our kids...'this wont hurt (me) a bit', 'you better be good or santa wont bring you anything', 'you are going to like this' ---yeah guess who taught them.
a few weeks ago I was reading on yahoo about an airplane that had to return to the gate because their was a 3 year old kid who refused to put on the seat belt--the father wouldnt (couldnt?) force the kid to put it on---just exactly HOW does a THREE year old have ANY say??? they got kicked off the air plane (and should have had to pay loads of money for it too--but they didnt get that far in the article)....
its amazing how much kids today get away with--and the parents who lack any parents skills; just look at all of the commercials about vitamin drinks things for kids who wont eat their dinners--but oh yeah, they will drink the sugar laced drinks....never were we as kids allowed to LEAVE the table until our plates were clean...plenty of nights I spent at the dinner table mind you, and now we wonder why kids are overweight have attention problems and such---look at their diets!! (and the lack of pe in schools now).....
sorry soap boxed

I like to eat sugarcoats. Then I get really hyper. Oh well.
Ya, parents do not know how to use a simple word to a child that could help shape them into a better person. That very difficult word? No! Learn it, use it! If your kid comes up to you and says "I want chocolate cake for breakfast!" you should immediately say "No, but you can have *insert healthy breakfast food here*". If your kid is doing something wrong, tell them to stop and CORRECT their behavior. Don't just say no over and over again. Tell them they shouldn't do that, tell them what they should do, and maybe, just maybe, tell them why they shouldn't do what they were doing! Oh well... I feel like we should make parents pass a class before they are allowed to reproduce... Or just take the warning labels off things. Let natural selection weed out the idiots.

pwnd...you will make a good parent someday!
(though you notice that many of the high iq people tend to NOT have kids, and the ones having the kids are the ones who couldnt even get thru grade school----)
went out for lunch with hubby today--was a nice change of pace....
